Raceline Husqvarna Tdub Racing Team’s Todd Waters raced to seventh overall in the fifth round of the 2025 Australian ProMX Championship at Warwick on Sunday, with a P5 result in MX1 moto one signalling the Queenslander's progress upon entering the second half of the season.

After setting the ninth-fastest qualifying time, Waters started the opening MX1 race towards the front of the field, featuring as high as third for several laps before claiming fifth position – his best result of the year – when the chequered flag flew.

The second moto saw Waters and his Husqvarna FC 450 near-perfect off the gate to claim the holeshot. Intense battles throughout the race saw him ultimately cross the line in P7, resulting in seventh overall for the weekend. After five rounds of racing, Waters holds seventh in the MX1 standings.

“Today was fun!" commented Waters. "In the first moto, I got into third and was ticking off the laps, but the fitness wasn’t there and I faded. I’ve been working on my starts a lot and I holeshot the second race, which was probably the highlight of my day. The boys went back past me, but it was nice to be up front and show I had some heart. Overall, it was a positive day for us. We hit our starts and got ourselves in good positions, but now I know what I need to work on fitness-wise to improve next time.”

Waters was the sole MX1 Class entry for the Raceline Husqvarna Tdub Racing Team at Warwick, with teammate Regan Duffy currently recovering from a back injury sustained at the recent Manjimup 15,000 in Western Australia.

It was a more challenging day for Jack Kukas in the MX2 Class. After retiring early from the first race, Kukas found himself engaged in a series of battles in the second moto, crossing the finish line in P12 to finish his day with 15th overall and maintain 14th in the MX2 standings.

“It wasn’t the day I was looking for," reflected Kukas. "I put in a lot of effort over the past month to try and get everything back on track, but we experienced some unfortunate issues from the beginning of the day that were out of everyone’s control. After retiring early from the first moto, I felt I hadn’t spent enough time on the track and struggled to find a flow in that second race. We’ve got three rounds left to try and earn some solid points and finish the season strongly.”
