A dynamic Raceline Husqvarna T-Dub Racing Team line-up of premier class rookie Jack Mather and Rhys Budd is set for the 2024 Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX) when it takes off in the Moreton Bay region of South East Queensland this weekend, between October 12th-13th.

Marking the first and second rounds of a five-round series, Redcliffe's Kayo Stadium will host AUSX for the first time and the Gold Coast-based Raceline Husqvarna T-Dub Racing Team comes into Saturday and Sunday's action with high hopes of success under the management of Todd Waters.

Freshly-turned 19-year-old Mather won the 2022 Australian SX3 Championship with Husqvarna and will make an exciting transition into the SX1 ranks for 2024. It will be a considerable learning curve for the teenager after bypassing the SX2 category altogether, but one that the Queenslander is excited for after swiftly adapting to the Husqvarna FC 450 during his preparations.

Budd will come into the SX2 series as a proven race winner in the class, this year looking to be in contention onboard his Husqvarna FC 250. It's an opportunity for the experienced 23-year-old to complete his year with strong results, and he will look to take full advantage of what has been a positive build-up to the five-round AUSX season.

Jack Mather: "I'm looking forward to getting back behind the gates this weekend and racing some supercross. I'm stepping up to the SX1 class, so that's been a pretty big move for me coming from SX3 last season, but I'm really looking forward to it. The prep coming in has been solid, and I'm feeling good on the FC 450, so I'm excited to get behind the gates with some of the big names!"

Rhys Budd: "Round one is a couple of days away now! It's been a really good lead-up, I've had a change of scenery with my riding program, so I think I'll use that as a bit of motivation. I'm really enjoying where I'm at now and training with Luke Reardon, so the last few weeks have been really good and the bike is exactly where I need it to be. I'm keen to get behind the gates and get it done."

Kyle Blunden, KTM Group Australia Motorsport Manager: "The Raceline Husqvarna T-Dub Racing Team has made significant strides between championships, both on and off the track. With Jack Mather making his SX1 debut and Rhys Budd bringing his determination to the SX2 class, both riders are ready to rise to the challenge. After a reset from the motocross season, they’re fully focused on delivering their best this weekend. Under the expert guidance of Todd and Jason Waters, the team has worked tirelessly since the ProMX series wrapped up, and we’re excited to see our Husqvarna machines back under the lights in Redcliffe. Adding to our line-up, the Husqvarna Junior Racing Team riders Jack Deveson and Peter Wolfe are stepping up to the SX3 class. Their experience competing in MX3 all season has set them up well to tackle the 2024 Australian Supercross season with confidence. This weekend also sees Peter’s brother Ethan Wolfe stepping into the CR22 85cc Cup on his TC 85 – a great program aimed at developing the future athletes of the sport, the 85 class is going to be awesome to watch."

With Kayo Stadium in Redcliffe holding rounds one and two this weekend in a double-header format, AUSX will also visit Wollongong (November 2nd), Adelaide (November 15th-17th) and Melbourne (November 30th) during the upcoming championship.
