Husqvarna Racing is arguably the team to beat as the championship is set to conclude in the hills surrounding White River in the Lowveld region of Mpumalanga. The winning feeling should still sit fresh in the minds of both riders coming off an impressive 1,2 overall after the Winterberg round a couple of weeks ago.

Team stalwart Brett Swanepoel is set to cement an impressive 8th National Championship title this weekend. Quietly confident Swanepoel said: “I'm looking forward to the last round this weekend and we are coming into race day with a good points lead, it has been a good season and I’m looking forward to ending it on a high”.

Swanepoel will be flying out the start with a stand-in teammate in the shape of Kyle Flanagan once more after a successful first outing saw Flanagan finish in second behind Swanepoel in Bathurst. "I'm looking forward to the race, I haven’t raced in that area in years and it’s cool to be back that side of the country,” said Flanagan in anticipation of a big weekend of racing.

Husqvarna South Africa’s Grant Frerichs said: "After the last round it’s clear that the Husqvarna Enduro riders are the riders to beat and we look forward to attempting another 1-2 finish this weekend."
