The Husqvarna Racing team now turns their focus to the second round of the National Championship. The race is set to take place in the Dieprvier/Lemoenskop area this weekend, an Enduro paradise located near the town of Caledon in the Western Cape.

Altus de Wet, a legend in the sport and the current Roof of Africa route director, was given the task of setting the route this weekend. The Dieprevier/Lemoenskop will certainly challenge riders with carefully cut single-track that will require constant focus and attention.

After a podium finish in the previous round, Husqvarna Racing’s Brett Swanepoel has decided to switch things up with a new motorcycle and will be riding the Husqvarna FE 350 4-stroke.
He describes feeling particularly excited at the thought of racing with this new machine and commented: “I can’t wait for the weekend! I’m determined to get this 4-stroke to the top step of the podium. Cape Town is definitely demanding on the body and the terrain is very harsh, but will prove to be a good test.”

Joining Swanepoel in the fight for Enduro glory is rising star Heinrich Aust. Having come painstakingly close to winning the National E1 Enduro Championship last year, the rider is relentless in his pursuit of the title this season on his four-stroke Husqvarna FE 250. An unfortunate tumble in the last round dashed his hopes of winning the event, but Aust will undoubtedly be back swinging this weekend.
