An exciting Husqvarna Junior Racing Team line-up has been announced for the 2022 season, set to contest a range of national and state junior titles this year.

An exciting Husqvarna Junior Racing Team line-up has been announced for the 2022 season, set to contest a range of national and state junior titles this year.

Returning duo Braden Plath and Heath Fisher have returned to represent the Husqvarna Motorcycles brand and will be joined by team newcomer Jack Deveson.

Far North Queensland rider Plath is stepping up to the TC 125 and FC 250 for 2022 as the 16-year-old returns for another successful year. Plath — a former 65cc world champion — will contest the highly-competitive MX3 class at the Australian ProMX Championship and two categories in the Sunshine State MX Series.

Meanwhile, fellow Queenslander Fisher will also perform double duty as he lines up on both the TC 85 and TC 125. Fisher has been a loyal Husky rider for the past five years and is a podium regular at both a national and state level. He’s looking to expand his experience with a range of interstate races this year, as well as taking both state and national titles.

Dubbo’s Deveson will race both the TC 85 and TC 125 at both a state and national level. The teenager has started 2022 in the best possible way, claiming the 85cc 12-U16 Expert win at the Australian Arenacross Series opener at Bacchus Marsh and has his sights set on two titles at the Australian Junior National Championships in Rockhampton later this year.

Husqvarna Junior Racing Team is proudly supported by Husqvarna Genuine Parts, Husqvarna Technical Accessories, Husqvarna Apparel, Motorex, FLY Racing, Bridgestone, SKDA, ODI Grips and Funnelweb Filters for the 2022 season.

Braden Plath: “It feels really good to be on the team again and getting the support, being located up in Far North Queensland. I want to achieve some strong results in the ProMX national rounds that we contest and will be aiming for a podium finish on both bikes for the Sunny States.”

Heath Fisher: “I’m pretty stoked to be representing Husqvarna again — I’ve been riding Husqvarna Motorcycles for the past five years. We’re going to take a different approach this year, with the past two years being impacted by covid and not being able to do any outer-state races, but now that the borders have opened up, we’re probably going to do a variety of different series, just to get a bit more experience with other riders and other tracks. The goal is to be number one at both the state and Australian titles.”

Jack Deveson: “I’m excited to be riding with Husqvarna Motorcycles for 2022, honoured to be representing the junior team this year. I’m going to try my hardest in all the races and my aim is to win the Australian championships on the MC 85 and MC 125… maybe even get selected to represent Australia at the junior world championship!”
