Charlie Heyman has been crowned the 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross MX2 Champion after a standout performance at round seven of the series at Duns, Scotland, securing the title aboard his SC Sporthomes Husqvarna FC 250.

A Husqvarna rider for several years and the 2025 British Under-21 Motocross Champion, Heyman has enjoyed an outstanding 2026 campaign, combining consistency, speed and determination throughout the season to successfully secure the MX2 crown at the penultimate round.

After taking over the championship lead earlier in the season, Heyman has held the coveted red plate for the last several rounds, successfully managing the pressure of leading the standings on his way to title glory at Duns. The title represents a significant milestone for both Heyman and the SC Sporthomes Husqvarna team, marking the culmination of years of development between the rider and Husqvarna machinery.

Charlie Heyman - 2026 Motul ACU British Motocross MX2 Champion: "To win the MX2 British Championship means everything to me. We've worked incredibly hard for this and there have been so many people behind the scenes who have helped make it possible. The SC Sporthomes Husqvarna team has been amazing all season and the FC 250 has been incredible from the first round to the last. To achieve this with Husqvarna, who have supported me for so many years, makes it even more special. I'd like to thank Neil, the whole team, my family, sponsors and everyone who has backed me throughout the season. This is a moment I'll never forget."

Neil Prince - Team Manager, SC Sporthomes Husqvarna: "We're delighted for Charlie. He's earned this championship through hard work, professionalism and determination all season. We've seen him develop year after year, and this title is a fitting reward for his commitment. The entire team has worked tirelessly throughout the season, and it's fantastic to see that effort rewarded with a British Championship. Securing the title at Duns with a round still remaining is a tremendous achievement and we're incredibly proud of Charlie and everyone involved with SC Sporthomes Husqvarna."

Matt Walker - Managing Director of Husqvarna: "On behalf of everyone at Husqvarna, I'd like to congratulate Charlie and the entire SC Sporthomes Husqvarna team on winning the MX2 British Championship. Charlie has represented the Husqvarna brand with professionalism and determination throughout his career with us, and this title is a fantastic reward for the dedication shown by both rider and team. Success in a championship as competitive as the British Motocross Championship is never achieved alone, and this result highlights the strength of the partnership between Charlie, the SC Sporthomes team and Husqvarna. We are extremely proud to be part of this achievement."

The championship victory at Duns ensures that the MX2 title will head to SC Sporthomes Husqvarna for the 2026 season, with Heyman now able to celebrate his first British MX2 Championship before the final round of the series.
